Body Image Group for Millennial Women
Our relationship with our bodies is shaped by much more than what we see in the mirror. It can be influenced by family, culture, social media, food and exercise rules, pregnancy, aging, perimenopause, changes in how our bodies function, and years of messages about what our bodies are supposed to look like and do.
This 8-week facilitated discussion group offers a space for millennial women to explore those messages, share experiences, and develop a more neutral and compassionate relationship with their bodies. Rather than focusing on diets, weight loss, or "loving your body," we'll explore what it means to live a meaningful life without making your body a constant project.
The group is limited to 15 participants to allow for meaningful conversation and connection.
Online Saturdays at 9am pst/12pm est.
Sept 12, 2026 to October 31, 2026
Registration Fee: $160
What We'll Explore
Week 1 — How Did We Get Here?
Exploring the experiences, relationships, and cultural messages that shaped our body image.
Week 2 — The Inner Critic
Noticing the voice that evaluates our bodies and exploring where those messages came from.
Week 3 — Comparison, Worth & the Promise of "When"
Examining comparison and the belief that life will be better once our bodies change.
Week 4 — Food, Movement & Morality
Exploring the rules we've learned about food, exercise, health, discipline, and what they supposedly say about us.
Week 5 — Monitoring the Body
Looking at body checking, avoidance, comparison, and the ways we've learned to constantly evaluate our bodies.
Week 6 — Grief, Anger & Letting Go
Making space for the grief and anger that can come with changes in appearance, function, aging, pregnancy, perimenopause, and the expectations placed on women's bodies.
Week 7 — More Than a Body
Exploring identity beyond appearance and making room for the parts of ourselves that deserve our attention.
Week 8 — Choosing Participation
Putting body neutrality into practice through behavior experiments, reflection, and choosing to participate in life without waiting to feel "ready."
What You Can Expect
Each week, you'll receive a short 5–10 minute video introducing the week's topic and journal prompts. You'll have an opportunity to reflect on the material before we meet, allowing our live sessions to focus primarily on discussion, connection, and shared experiences rather than lecture.
By the end of the eight weeks, you will:
Understand your body image story — where your beliefs about your body came from and how family, culture, relationships, aging, and life experiences have shaped them.
Recognize patterns that keep body image distress going — including comparison, self-criticism, body monitoring, avoidance, and rules around food, movement, and appearance.
Develop a more neutral and flexible relationship with your body — learning to respond differently to body-related thoughts, make space for changing bodies, and let go of expectations that no longer serve you.
Practice living differently — using behavioral experiments to step outside of body-image-driven rules and avoidance, and make more room for relationships, experiences, and the parts of life that matter to you.
